UNESCO donates 5000 copies of "Disaster Master Game" to Military Schools

Islamabad - 22 March 2013: As a step toward raising awareness and prepare masses about natural hazards, UNESCO donated 5000 copies of Disaster Master Game to Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI)
Cantt and Garrisons, Ministry of Defense, Pakistan Army.

Lt Col. Atlas Khan Marwat, from Directorate of FGEI, received the copies from Director UNESCO, Dr. Kozue Kay Nagata, in a ceremony arranged today at UNESCO office in Islamabad.

"It was last year when we came across a copy of Disaster Master Game. We found this game extremely useful and informative to prepare our students. The country is disaster prone and if natural disaster may occur our students should be ready to cope with it", said Lt Col. Atlas.

Director UNESCO assured FGEI of UNESCO's support through its technical expertise to the students.

FGEI has 350 schools across Pakistan including AJK area. These schools have almost fifty percent of students coming from civilian backgrounds.
