CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2 Application Open Date Announced

The Punjab government has officially announced the application opening date for Phase 2 of the Green Tractor Scheme. According to the Agriculture Department of Punjab, applications will start in August 2025. This program is designed to help farmers by giving them big discounts on tractors to improve farming in the province.

What is the Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2?

In Phase 2 of this scheme, the government will give 20,000 tractors to farmers at discounted prices through subsidies:

• 10,000 small tractors (50 to 65 horsepower) will be available with a Rs. 500,000 subsidy each.

• 10,000 large tractors (75 horsepower and above) will come with a Rs. 1 million subsidy each. These include both locally made and imported tractors.

This scheme helps farmers save money and use modern machines to grow more crops and earn better.

Meeting Held to Finalize the Program

The announcement was made during a meeting led by Punjab Agriculture Minister Ashiq Kirmani. He said the goal is to support farmers and improve the agriculture sector. The minister also checked the progress of other government projects in farming.

Model Agriculture Malls Almost Ready

In the same meeting, officials said that 98% of work on 4 Model Agriculture Malls is already done. These malls will give farmers access to farming tools, seeds, fertilizers, and expert advice—all in one place.

Also, the government plans to build 10 more malls soon. These centers will make it easy for farmers to get everything they need.

New Internships for Agriculture Graduates

The government is also starting Phase 2 of the Agriculture Graduates Internship Program. Under this program, 2,000 new interns will be hired. This will help young agriculture graduates gain real field experience and improve their job skills.
