🌧️ Islamabad Weather Update: More Rains & Flash Flood Risk Ahead
Get ready for wet days ahead! The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh alert for intense monsoon rains across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several other regions of Pakistan starting Monday evening and continuing through Wednesday with breaks in between.
A strong low-pressure system currently hovering over northwest Madhya Pradesh, India, is expected to push powerful monsoon currents into central and upper Pakistan over the next 24 to 72 hours. This system will be further intensified by a westerly wave, resulting in scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall across a wide swath of the country.
